Details

Day 1, Sat, 04.11.2023: Welcome to sunny Namibia

After arriving at the international airport in Windhoek (flights not included), you’ll be transferred to your hotel where you’ll finally meet the other guys. Spend the day lounging by the pool or go out and explore Windhoek on your own – the city centre is just a few minutes away. Later in the afternoon, you’ll meet your guide. Over dinner at Joe’s Beerhouse, you and the other guys can begin getting excited about the gay adventure ahead.

Day 2, Sun, 05.11.2023: Namib Desert

On a tour of Windhoek, you’ll get a taste of the city’s striking historical landmarks and monuments as well as of the suburbs of Khomasdal, Katutura, and Ludwigsdorf. But now it’s time to leave civilisation behind and depart for your lodge in the fascinating Namib Desert. There you can spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool, sipping on a cool drink, and dreaming of the desert adventures to come.

Why Namibia?

  • Namibia is ONE OF A KIND – leading travel magazines regularly award this African country the title of Top Travel Destination (watch this video and you’ll understand why).

  • The Namib Desert with its mighty dunes and Etosha National Park with its abundance of fascinating wildlife are reason enough to visit this wonderful place.

  • If you’re looking for breathtaking (sometimes bizarre) landscapes as well as spectacular starry skies beyond compare, look no further.

  • Same-sex sexual activity is not subject to criminal prosecution as long as it takes place in a private setting; however, there is no real gay community in Namibia and homosexuality is largely taboo – for this reason, you should be somewhat cautious with regard to public displays of affection.

  • Keep in mind that we’ll be spending most of the time outdoors where the topic of homosexuality doesn’t play a role.

Namib Naukluft National Park

Day 3, Mon, 06.11.2023: Dunes of Sossusvlei

Rise and shine! After an early start, you’ll arrive at the Namib Naukluft National Park shortly after sunrise. You’ll be mesmerised as you watch how the dunes are painted striking hues of apricot, red and orange by the first rays of sunlight. You’ll be captivated by the surreal landscapes of Deadvlei and Sossusvlei, two pans (salt and clay) surrounded by some of the highest dunes on the planet. Be sure to walk up one of these majestic dunes and take in the breathtaking sight below. Before returning to your lodge, you’ll take a short hike through Sesriem Canyon, a natural phenomenon in the heart of the Namib Desert.

Day 4, Tue, 07.11.2023: Atlantic breeze

After breakfast, you’ll travel to Solitaire, a small settlement seemingly in the middle of nowhere on the edge of the Namib Naukluft National Park. Via the desolate, rolling hills of the Kuiseb Valley, you’ll continue your gay tour. Travelling along the Trans-Kalahari Highway between the dune belt and the Atlantic Ocean, you’ll reach the coastal city of Swakopmund, where you’ll have the rest of the day to enjoy the ocean breeze at your leisure.

Swakopmund

Day 5, Wed, 08.11.2023: Colonial architecture and a colony of seals

Embrace the relaxed pace of life in Swakopmund today – enjoy fresh coffee and pastries at one of the many local cafés or travel back in time and explore the many examples of German colonial architecture in the city. If the sea calls to you, take an adventure-packed catamaran cruise (additional fee) to Pelican Point and beautiful Walvis Bay. You’ll marvel at the dolphins, turtles, seals, and mola mola (ocean sunfish) that you encounter. On board, you’ll enjoy sparkling wine, fresh oysters, and other mouth-watering snacks. In the afternoon, you’ll head north to Cape Cross and visit a lively seal colony.

Day 6, Thu, 09.11.2023: Mountains and stars

Get ready to be fascinated in Damaraland – one of the most sparsely populated and most geologically diverse areas in Africa. This harsh, rocky environment is home to the elusive desert elephant, the black rhino, and free-roaming antelope. You’ll visit Twyfelfontein where you’ll see mysterious examples of rock engravings and paintings created by the Bushmen over 6,000 years ago. In the Petrified Forest, you’ll be transfixed by fossilised wood and amazed by Welwitschia mirabilis – the oldest living desert plant on the planet. Another busy day of your gay tour will end at a lodge with a romantic view over the Ugab Valley.

Damaraland Namibia

Day 7, Fri, 10.11.2023: Exploring Etosha – Part I

After visiting the iconic Vingerklip, a bizarre and striking rock formation, you’ll make your way to Namibia’s wild-life haven – Etosha National Park. There’s no time to waste, so keep your camera ready! The park, which surrounds a parched salt desert known as the Etosha Pan, is home to four of the Big Five (elephants, lions, leopards, and rhinos) as well as an array of popular game species such as giraffes, blue wildebeest, plains and mountain zebras, hyenas, lions, leopards, and antelopes. You might also encounter some endangered species such as black rhinos, cheetahs, and black-faced impalas.

Day 8, Sat, 11.11.2023: Exploring Etosha – Part II

Another exciting game drive through Etosha National Park awaits you. If you’re up for a different type of adventure, you can book an unforgettable open game drive for an additional fee. The park has the highest concentration of wildlife in all of Namibia, so you just might encounter wildlife you didn’t see on your last drive past the many waterholes along the Etosha Pan. In the afternoon, you’ll travel back to the lodge, where you can enjoy the rest of the evening dreaming about the gay adventures you’ve had under the starry, starry sky.

Day 9, Sun, 12.11.2023: All good things come to an end

With a heavy heart, you’ll say goodbye to this wildlife paradise after breakfast. Via the villages of Tsumeb and Otjiwarongo, you’ll reach the final lodge of your gay tour. In the late afternoon, it’s time for one last drive through the Namibian bush and of course, one last sundowner. After a farewell dinner with the guys, stay awake as long as you can under the night sky. Make a wish on a shooting star and who knows – maybe you’ll be back in Namibia sooner than you know for some more gay adventures!

Day 10, Mon, 13.11.2023: Goodbye, Namibia

Spend the morning making a few more gay memories before being transferred to the international airport (flights not included) for your flight home.
