Why Panama
Few countries in Central America pack as many contrasts into such a small area as Panama. Between the Atlantic and the Pacific, you’ll discover an impressive diversity of landscapes − ranging from highlands to rainforest − but you’ll also get a healthy dose of colonial charm in a modern metropolis. Whether it’s sloths in the jungle, salsa in the old town or Caribbean vibes, Panama leaves a lasting impression.
Panama is a wonderful country to explore − and with Guys.travel, you experience all the highlights together with other guys who are looking for authentic encounters and real travel experiences. Even though Panama often stands in the shadow of other travel destinations, the openness of its people, their hospitality and the relaxed lifestyle make it a true insider tip.
In February, Panama is at its best: the rainy season has ended and the climate is pleasantly tropical at 26 to 30°C, with plenty of sunshine, generally dry weather and refreshing breezes from the Pacific or the Caribbean. Perfect conditions for exploring nature, culture and the coast!

Your first Guys.travel connection
Urban energy.
Wild nature.
Panama has it all
"Panama truly offers everything - a vibrant city, lush nature with incredible flora and fauna, and beaches that feel like paradise. And then there is the Panama Canal - a masterpiece of engineering that deeply impressed me."
Your itinerary
Day 1
“Hola” − welcome to Panama: You’ll travel independently to Panama City. At the airport, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel, where you can relax after your flight. In the evening, you’ll finally meet the other guys and your guide over a welcome cocktail − great way to kick off your gay adventure in Panama!

Day 2
Soberanía National Park & Boomtown Panama City: First stop Lake Gatún − a boat takes you across the lake, where you get your first look at the flora and fauna, as well as the large ships passing through the Panama Canal. You’re accompanied by jungle wildlife such as sloths, monkeys, crocodiles and iguanas. At the visitor platform of the Miraflores Locks, you see global trade in action, as container ships slide with millimetre precision between the massive walls of steel. Back in the city, you continue on foot through the colourful El Cangrejo district. In a rum bar, you try a combination of cocktail and chocolate, followed by a Caribbean welcome dinner.
Day 3
El Valle − the green heart of Panama: A village in an extinct volcanic crater? That’s unusual. Yet Valle de Antón is tropical green rather than lava black. Driving along the Pacific coast, you cross the Puente de las Américas and reach the small mountain village. First, you look at petroglyphs, then you hike through the cloud forest to a viewpoint with panoramic views. Afterwards, the coach takes you to the next destination of your gay adventure − Chitré.

Day 4
Chitré − tradition up close: In Chitré, life moves at a noticeably slower pace than in the capital. It’s the perfect place to experience everyday life in Panama. You’ll visit potters and woodcarvers in their studios and gain insight into their traditional craftsmanship. For a little refreshment, you’ll try “pan de la arena” fresh from the bakery. Delicious! In the afternoon, you’ll experience local folklore with traditional costumes and music and learn how wooden drums are made.
Day 5
Isla Iguana − turquoise meets the tropics: By boat, you’ll head to a true natural paradise: Isla Iguana − turquoise-blue waters, snow-white sand and a fascinating world of wildlife. The island is a dream destination for nature lovers. You’ll arrive at a protected reserve with black iguanas, colourful coral reefs and, with a bit of luck, humpback whales. Whether snorkelling, relaxing on the idyllic Playa El Cirial or taking a short hike with ocean views − the island enchants with its pristine nature. A picnic, soft drinks and beach gear are provided.

Day 6
Highland adventure: You’ll head into the mountains as the coach climbs towards Boquete. Coffee plantations, vegetable fields and flower gardens shape the landscape. Watching over it all, Volcán Barú, which at 3,477 metres is Panama’s highest peak. Fortunately, it’s dormant, so you can safely enjoy views over the Pacific Ocean and the entire Boquete Valley. Good vibes in the highlands.
Day 7
In the realm of the sacred bird: Today, you’ll lace up your hiking boots for a trek through the cloud forest. Our mission is clear mission: spot the quetzal, a sacred bird worshipped by the Aztecs as a deity. The roughly three-hour route takes you through cool cloud forest and lush rainforest − a paradise in endless shades of green. With a bit of luck, you might spot one of these shy, brightly coloured birds in the treetops. Back in Boquete, you’ll have time to relax. So many adventures on this unforgettable gay holiday!

Day 8
It’s YOUR day: Today, it’s up to you how adventurous you’ll be! You can head up Volcán Barú to watch the sunrise, travelling by 4x4 with the final stretch on foot to the summit. At the top, a spectacular view over both the Pacific and Atlantic awaits you – with breakfast included. Or maybe you prefer an adrenaline rush! If so, go ziplining through the treetops or take a tour across dizzying suspension bridges. All these activities can be booked onsite for an additional fee and are accompanied by English-speaking guides.
Day 9
Caribbean vibes: You’ll travel by coach from the highlands down to the Caribbean coast, then continue by water taxi across the turquoise sea towards the island world of Bocas del Toro. The atmosphere is relaxed and distinctly Caribbean − holiday mode activated! On Isla Colón, you’ll check in at your hotel and either unwind or head out to explore. Restaurants, bars and shops are just around the corner.

Day 10
Bocas vibes: Did you pack your swimming trunks? Then it’s time for a boat tour through a fascinating island world! Sloths hang lazily and from the trees, while parrots call from the treetops − there’s something to discover everywhere you look. In the Isla Bastimentos Marine National Park, coral reefs, colourful sponges and starfish await you, sharing the spotlight with curious dolphins – the stars of the underwater world. Off Crawl Cay, one of the archipelago’s best snorkelling spots, we drop anchor. Masks, snorkels and fins are of course provided on board. In the afternoon, time to relax on a secluded island − just unwind and enjoy your gay holiday!
Day 11
Back to the city and onward home: After an hour’s flight, you’re back in the capital. There you’ll take one last excursion through Panama’s past − a concentrated dose of colonial charm in the Casco Antiguo sprinkled with tales of pirates as pelicans skim across the water. In the afternoon, it’s time to say goodbye to this tropical paradise. With your individually arranged transfer, you’ll head to the airport for your flight back home.
