Day 2

Lima delights: Together with the other guys, you’ll take a bus tour of Lima. You’ll start off by exploring the colonial history of the Old Town and then venture off into the eerie catacombs of San Francisco. After taking a stroll through the vibrant Bohemian art district of Barranco, you’ll round off the second day of your gay adventure with a special lunch showcasing the fascinating creativity of modern Peruvian cuisine. The rest of the day is all yours - time to explore Lima on your own or simply relax.

Day 3

Off to Amazonia: You’ll take a morning flight over the sprawling Andes to Puerto Maldonado. There you’ll touch down in another world. Surrounded by seemingly endless jungle interspersed with milky brown rivers, you’ll set off for an awesome gay adventure in the Amazon lowlands. After quickly dropping off your bulky luggage, you’ll board a boat and head for the rustic Amazon jungle lodge where you’ll be spending the next few magical nights. In the afternoon, your local guide will take you on your first hike through the lush green jungle - just a glimpse of the magic that lies ahead.

DAYS 4 & 5

The Amazon rainforest: Two days of pure jungle exploration lie ahead! On rainforest hikes, you’ll be in awe as families of monkeys swing through the treetops as you walk by. With a bit of luck, you’ll spot turtles, caimans, giant otters, and tapirs in the dense jungle foliage - from the boat of course. On Monkey Island, keep an eye out for capuchin, lion, and squirrel monkeys! From an observation tower, you’ll be able to gaze out over the endless emerald green jungle as toucans, macaws and birds of prey circle above the treetops and moriche palms. Gay adventure tours don’t get any better than this!

DAY 6

Next stop the Sacred Valley: In the morning, you’ll return to Puerto Maldonado by boat. There you’ll jump on a plane and in just under an hour, you’ll find yourself back in the majestic Andes – this time in the culturally and historically rich city of Cusco at 3,400 metres above sea level. The panoramic view of the Inca capital from the Sacsayhuamán fortress will leave you breathless. Afterwards, your gay holiday journey continues into the lower-lying Urubamba Valley – also known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You’ll be spending two unforgettable nights in this mystic mountain paradise.

Day 7

Machu Picchu: As the tracks narrow, you’ll know that ultimate gay adventure is approaching. On board the Vistadome panoramic train, you’ll travel through the incredibly lush Urubamba Valley towards Huayna Picchu, the legendary sugar loaf mountain of the Cordillera. Amid dramatic natural surroundings lies Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas, which was only rediscovered in 1911. You’ll explore temples, granaries, and houses as well as the Intihuatana - a ritual stone associated with the astronomical clock of the Incas and referred to as “The Hitching Post of the Sun”. You’ll be amazed! In the late afternoon, you’ll take the train back – bringing unforgettable memories with you.

Day 8

Inca workshop: Today you’ll put everything you’ve learned about the Incas into practice at a fascinating Inca workshop! You’ll recall the moral code of the Incas “Ama sua, ama llulla, ama quella”, which translates into “Do not steal, do not lie, do not be lazy”! With this in mind, you’ll roll up your sleeves and get to work: You’ll try your hand at quipu knotting and learn about the intricate knot writing system used by the Incas to do their accounting. And then you’ll get down to business: compacting earth, shaping adobe bricks and lining them up to dry. Sharing a laugh with the locals is just as much a part of this authentic experience as enjoying a beer or two. After a leisurely stroll through historic Pisac, it’s time to leave the Peruvian countryside and head back to Cusco - ready for the next chapter of your adventure.

Day 9

The Andean Jewel: Back in Cusco, you’ll explore the remnants of the Inca civilisation, although some of the stonework you find throughout the city was actually done by the Spanish. You’ll wander from Coricancha – the Temple of the Sun – between Inca walls to the grand Plaza de Armas and the monumental Cusco Cathedral. There you’ll see works typical of the famous Escuela Cusquena, which blends European painting styles with indigenous motifs: In one depiction of the Last Supper, you’ll see the Apostles eating guinea pig and drinking chicha! The rest of the day is yours to explore Cusco at your own pace.

Day 10

Lake Titicaca on the horizon: Today’s destination - Lake Titicaca. The coach will take you through the fertile Vilcanota Valley to the lavishly decorated Baroque church in Andahuaylillas and the impressive Raqch'i Inca ruins. You’ll then cross the 4,350-metre-high La Raya Pass where you’ll have stunning views of the majestic natural surroundings. Afterwards, your coach will roll through lonely high mountain landscapes, with only a few scattered villages here and there where the local women sell Andean cheese by the roadside. In Puno, you’ve finally reached Lake Titicaca - an unforgettable spot high up in the Andes over 3,800 meters above sea level!

Day 11

Lake adventures: Get ready for another fun-filled day of gay adventure at Lake Titicaca! By boat, you’ll head out onto the expansive steel-blue waters of the mountain lake, first to the floating islands of the Urus and then on to Isla Taquile - the island of knitting men. Your guide will explain why the men on this island are so good at knitting and what the colours of the typical hats they knit say about the lives of the inhabitants. Later, a stroll across Puno’s picturesque main square and the climb up to a viewpoint are rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of the massive lake - a truly unforgettable experience!

Day 12

Return to Lima: After a stopover at the mysterious pre-Inca burial towers of Sillustani, you’ll drive to Juliaca in the morning and fly from there to Lima. Back in the capital city, you’ll have enough time to buy some last-minute souvenirs for friends and family and say “goodbye” to amazing Peru.
