Costa Rica has long been a favourite among nature lovers and adventure seekers - and for good reason. This small but stunning Central American country offers a unique mix of natural beauty, biodiversity, and vibrant culture.

Asia is not one kind of trip.

It can mean the energy of Bangkok, the silence of a Himalayan mountain pass, or a high-speed train cutting across China. It can be temples at sunrise, dinner at a roadside restaurant, a boat on the Mekong, prayer flags above a valley or the lights of Shanghai after dark. So if Asia is calling, the harder question is not whether to go. It’s what kind of experience you want once you get there. Our three Asia tours could hardly be more different. One gives you a sweeping, colourful introduction to Southeast Asia. One takes you into the mountains and monasteries of Bhutan. And one crosses China on a journey shaped by history and contrasts. Here is how to work out which one has your name on it. You want to dive straight in: Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam

If this is your first trip to Asia – or you simply want plenty of variety – the Asia Trio gives you a lot to sink your teeth into.

What makes this tour work so well is the constant change of scene. Big cities, ancient temples, tropical landscapes, life along the Mekong and time by the sea all come together in one journey without making it feel rushed or superficial.

You stay close to everyday life along the way, whether that means local food, markets, boat journeys or simply watching the world carry on around you. Some of the best moments can be simple: a bowl of pho, something grilled at a market, a cold beer after a long day or dinner with the guys in a busy city.

And after all that movement, the beach gives you a place to slow down and do very little if that’s exactly what you feel like doing.

This is your trip if: you want variety, local life, food, culture, nature and some beach time – and a strong, authentic introduction to Southeast Asia. Find out more!

You want to leave the noise behind: Bhutan

Bhutan is for a very different mood. The journey begins in Nepal before heading into the Himalayas, where mountain valleys, monasteries and high passes quickly replace the noise of daily life.

There’s still plenty of activity, including several walks and the climb to the Tiger’s Nest monastery. But the strength of Bhutan lies in the combination of movement and stillness. You’re exploring and meeting people, while still having space to breathe and take in your surroundings.

For guys who have already travelled the world extensively, that may be the real attraction. Bhutan feels removed from the usual travel circuit and offers something harder to find: distance from the noise of everyday life. You could call it a detox, although not the juice-and-yoga kind. More the kind that comes from mountains, fresh air, fewer distractions and a place that invites you to slow down for a while.

This is your trip if: you want mountains, culture, spirituality and some physical challenge – and somewhere that feels genuinely different from the places you already know. Bhutan strictly limits tourism, making it a rare privilege to experience this extraordinary Himalayan kingdom. With us, you can turn that privilege into reality. Find out more!

You want to see just how big Asia can get: China

Costa Rica is one of the most biologically diverse places on the planet. Although it occupies only about 51,000 square kilometres (roughly the size of the Vermont or twice the size of Wales), it hosts 5-6% of the world’s known species.

Then there is China.

Even before you get there, you know it is enormous. What’s harder to appreciate until you’ve travelled through it is just how many different versions of China can exist within one journey. That contrast is really the point. Ancient history sits beside high-speed trains. Traditional culture shares space with hypermodern cities. Huge urban centres give way to quieter landscapes and long stretches of river.

The way you travel matters too. Trains, boats and road journeys make the distances part of the experience, giving you a real sense of the country’s scale rather than simply flying between famous sights.

China is often reduced to a few familiar images from the outside. This journey goes much further and shows just how intricate, fast-moving and varied the country really is.

This is your trip if: you want history, movement, big landscapes and strong contrasts – and if discovering a country that constantly challenges your expectations sounds more exciting than lying on a beach. Find out more!

So, which Asia is yours?

If you’re still undecided, think less about the map and more about how you want the journey to feel.

  • Choose Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam if you want variety, tropical heat, street life, temples, food and some time by the sea.

  • Choose Bhutan if you want mountains, quiet, spirituality and the feeling of having stepped outside your normal world for a while.

  • Choose China if you want scale, history, fast-moving cities and the thrill of seeing just how many different sides one country can have.

There is no single Asia waiting for you.

The fun part is deciding which one you want first.
